Dutch Jazz invades Madrid
During the weekend of the 17th of July, six Jazz Formations with mostly Dutch musicians played several concerts all over Madrid. The initiative was taken by the "Fundación Carlos de Amberes".
Pierre Courbois with his 5/4 sextet, Tineke Postma with her quartet, Eric Vloeimans with Gatcrash, Marc Mommaas with his NYC based group Global Motion, Jack van Poll trio and Hans Dulfer with his band, with special guest Candy Dulfer.
These wonderful artists played during three days all over Madrid. On sunday 19th of July most of them participated in a big jam session where for that occasion also some 15 Spanish Jazz musicians were invited. A real Jazz fusion between the Dutch and the Spanish.
