Maurits Mulder
As a son of Jazz Drummer Cees See, Maurits Mulder has been “impregnated” with the love for Jazz Music since his very early youth. Maurits was born in Holland but is living since almost 10 years in Madrid, Spain. In the last few years he specialized in Jazz Photography. He has been shooting photos at many festivals and concerts. On a regular basis he is asked to cover jazz festivals. His photographs are published on a regular basis in several magazines and Jazz Portals, like Jazz Magazine an Nu.nl in the Netherlands and Tomajazz.com in Spain. His last exposition was in Amsterdam at Blue Note Shop.
Over the years Maurits has created a library of fine jazz photographs of many artists. New photographs become available on a regular basis.
As Maurits understands jazz music very well and virtually “lives” the music while it is performed, he is able to anticipate the musicians moves and expressions and thus capturing the spirit in the music of that moment. This is the reason why most of the photographs are close-ups of artists showing those beautiful moments.

Hijo del batería de jazz Cees See, Maurits Mulder se ha impregnado de amor por el Jazz desde su infancia. Nacido en Holanda y residente en Madrid desde hace más de 10 años, se ha especializado en la fotografía de músicos de Jazz, disparando su cámara en un gran número de festivales y conciertos. Su presencia es, de hecho, demandada de forma regular en los más importantes festivales de Europa. Ha publicado sus fotografías en muy variadas revistas, Jazz Magazine, Nu.nl y Tomajazz.com, además de exponerlas al público en diversos lugares. Una de sus últimas y más aclamadas exposiciones ha tenido lugar en la tienda Blue Note de Amsterdam.
Durante años Maurits ha ido creando una gran colección de fotografías de estrellas del Jazz. En esta web se puede contemplar tan solo una muestra de ellas y se pretende añadir nuevas fotografías con regularidad.
Maurits entiende la música de jazz y la vive de tal manera durante su interpretación que es capaz de anticipar el movimiento y las expresiones de los músicos capturando con su cámara el espíritu de la música. Esta es la razón por la que la mayoría de sus fotografías son planos cortos de artistas mostrándonos esos momentos tan especiales y hermosos.
